1. Feida part
Feida is the place where the paper is loaded on the printing press, and it is also the place that is frequently adjusted during operation. This place must have space for paper loading and adjustment. From the perspective of loading paper, if the paper is loaded by hand, the distance between the fly to the wall (A) is at least greater than the length of the long side of the paper (B). However, considering the ease of handling, A should be appropriately larger than B. Taking 543mm × 781mm (off-width format) paper as an example, B = 781mm, then A = B + C, C is a variable value, considering factors such as turning, C should be two-thirds of B, that is C = B · 2/3. So there is A = 781 + 781 · 2/3 = 1300mm (the size of the paper changes, A changes with the change) This is the minimum distance to manually load the paper. When using a paper cart to load paper, the length of the paper cart and the space required for pushing and pulling should be considered. The length of the paper cart is generally about 1.2m, and the space required for the paper cart to pull the paper is roughly two-thirds of its length, that is, 0.8m. So there is A = 1.20 + 0.8 = 2.0m (the length of the paper cart changes, A changes accordingly). The place where the feeder is adjusted can be performed in the space left above, and no special space is required.

2. Operation surface
The operation surface is the place where the operator walks most back and forth, including observing the troubleshooting of water and ink, cleaning the machine, etc. The utilization rate of this surface is quite high. In addition, the operation surface also needs to stack semi-finished products or other materials required for printing such as paper, ink, ancient cloth, and printing auxiliary parts such as paper table and waste paper basket. The minimum distance between this surface and the wall should be 2.20m (maximum paper table length + space required for the operator to move back and forth). If possible, this distance can be as large as possible.
3. Receiving part
The paper collection part is the place where the sample is drawn and the ink color is observed the most. Generally, the operation button is installed in the paper collection part, so it is also the most frequently operated place. The printed paper is generally pulled out by a paper cart. From this point of view, the distance between the paper collection part and the wallboard should also be greater than 2.0m. In addition, the paper collection part also needs to leave a place for the sample stand, but the sample stand is generally placed at the corner of the wall, which has little effect on the distance between the paper collection part and the wall.

4. Transmission surface
The transmission surface is the place where the operator moves the least, but this surface is often used for maintenance. From the maintenance point of view, at least a place should be set aside for the evacuation of the foot pedal and the turn of the maintenance personnel. Generally, the distance between this surface and the wall is about 1.5m.

5. Above the machine
The machine is mainly used for placing lighting lamps, of course, there must be a space for people to operate on the machine. At present, the height of the general equipment is about 2m, and it is enough to leave a space of 1m above the machine. It can be seen from the above analysis that the utilization rate of the feeder part, the operation surface and the paper collection part is relatively high, while the utilization rate of the transmission surface and the upper part of the machine is relatively low.
Places with high utilization rates should be laid out from the perspective of the most convenient operation, and places with low utilization rates must be laid out from the perspective of operational feasibility (that is, as long as they can be operated). The layout of the machine is generally to operate the door facing the room, so that it is more convenient to pull and load paper, and it looks more beautiful.
If a printing machine with a length of 8m, a width of 2m and a height of 2m is installed, use a 1.2m long paper-pulling cart to load and pull the paper
Room length = 2 + 8 + 2 = 12m
Room width 2 + 2.2 + 1.5 = 5.7m
Room height = 2 + 1 = 3m
That is, the space of the room is 12 × 5.7 × 3m, and the layout of the machine is as shown in the figure (only the floor plan is drawn).

Practice has proved that the above-mentioned layout is feasible, and different machines can follow this requirement. Since the utilization rate of the paper collection part is the highest, the largest possible operating space should be reserved for the paper collection part as much as possible. When the two machines are placed in a row, the paper receiving part is generally opposed, so that the operating space is maximized, and rarely the two machines fly the part.
