Banknote printing anti-counterfeiting technology: say "NO" on counterfeit banknotes

The Banknote Printing Technology Project completed by Ma Renxuan and others won the 2010 National Technology Invention First Prize on the 14th. This technology has effectively enhanced the security of banknote printing and printing in China and laid a solid foundation for the development of new RMB products.

Engraving and gravure printing technology is a symbolic core anti-counterfeiting printing technology for the banknote printing industry. After more than 50 years of unremitting efforts, China's banknote printing technology personnel have invented a banknote printing technology that can simultaneously gravure printing and precise alignment on both sides. It has taken the lead in the international community to overcome the century-old difficulties of engraving gravure printing.

According to reports, this technical invention meets the requirement that “the people are easy to identify and counterfeiters can't fake” and is unique to China. Its core technologies have been granted invention patents in Switzerland, Germany and Japan.

“This new breakthrough in banknote anti-counterfeiting technology marks the development of our country's capacity for designing and manufacturing special equipment for printing banknotes. It has stepped into the leapfrog development stage of independent innovation from imitation tracking. It provides strong technical support for China’s participation in the international banknote printing market competition. The person in charge of the National Science and Technology Awards Office said.

The National Technology Invention Award is one of China's five national science and technology awards. In 2010, there were a total of 46 projects in the National Technology Invention Awards, including 2 first prizes and 44 second prizes.
