Nippon Paint will develop a new anti-warming coating

In January 2004, it was reported that Nippon Paint will develop a new anti-heating fluororesin thermal barrier coating. The new coating has a strong infrared reflective capability and will be used in coating plants, outside walls of facilities where internal temperatures need to be controlled, and areas that require reduced energy consumption.
With this new coating, the rate of temperature increase can be reduced by 30% to 40%. The infrared reflectivity of the traditional outer wall paint is 26%, and the infrared reflectivity of the new paint is nearly 80%. The test tested the coating to be effective in reducing the rate of building temperature increase.
