The green design and manufacturing of packaging is the continuous application of integrated and preventive environmental protection strategies throughout the entire life cycle of packaging products to achieve optimal use of resources and energy, minimize pollution to the environment, and protect the health of workers. To provide highly competitive green packaging products to the market, and ultimately achieve the goal of sustainable and harmonious development of economy, environment and human society.
The green design of packaging is a developing system design method. It is a design system integrating product quality, function, lifespan and environmental protection. It is the development of the concept of concurrent engineering. Under the guidance of the UN Environment Programme, green design and manufacturing are considered to be the key factors and the only way to achieve a sustainable development strategy. They have been highly valued by governments and academia.
1. Development of green packaging design and manufacturing The integrated information management system is similar to quality information. In packaging product companies, green design and manufacturing involve the management mechanism of the company and the life cycle process of the product.
