1. Ink printing method
First of all, it is necessary to point out that the ink used for Braille printing is different from ordinary ink. It is a rosin ink made by adding rosin auxiliary materials to ordinary ink.
The ink printing method can be ordinary relief printing or screen printing. Printed Braille prints, before the ink has dried, heat the back of the prints, then the rosin powder in the ink layer quickly melts, the volume also expands, making the blind spots swell, which is why the rosin is added to the ink . Then the binding becomes the final print. Because the rosin powder particles in the ink layer are coarse, it is not suitable for printing Braille patterns, and only Braille characters can be printed.
2. Foam printing
Similar to the ink printing method, the ink used in the foam printing method is an ink having foaming characteristics. This ink uses microcapsule technology, which contains micro particles filled with a low-boiling solvent. After screen printing and then heating, the solvent in the micro particles evaporates, the volume of the particles expands, and solidifies into an embossed pattern at normal temperature.
The foam printing method can use computers to design and make plates, reducing the traditional plate making process; it is also suitable for special graphic printing; the thickness of the printed products is only 2/3 of the rosin ink printing; the ideas are durable and not easy to break. Therefore, this printing method is currently the most widely used braille printing method.
3. Die stamping
The special thick paper is placed between the two braille concave and convex mold iron plates, and after heating and pressing, the thick paper is pressed to make differently arranged convex ideas. If you find that there are errors in the layout, you only need to knock down the wrong ideas and make them again. This printing method does not require ink, and has been basically eliminated.
