Sidel, which specializes in producing beverage packaging solutions, has developed a technology that uses injection stretch blow molding to produce HDPE fresh milk bottles, replacing the traditional extrusion blow molding for the first time.
According to reports, the HDPE bottle named “SafeSense†is approximately 20% lighter than the extruded bottle, and its functional level and capping quality are no less than PET. S Sidel claims that this bottle does not require the use of aluminum closures. The SafeSense bottle, which also uses HDPE injection molded caps, is a single material package that greatly simplifies the regeneration process.
Sidel said that the production of HDPE bottles using injection stretch blow molding technology is much more precise in thickness control than extrusion blow molding.
The company claims that the SafeSense bottle is perfectly airtight, even if it is placed in the refrigerator, the bottleneck will never be deformed, and it is perfectly compatible with the bottle cap. Sidel company said, thus achieving "perfect screw cap quality."
