Economic and Environmental P-PS-CTP Platemaking Plan Coming Soon

Some 20 people in the industry including the Deputy Director of the Department of Print and Copy Management of the General Administration of Press and Publication Li Wei, Chairman of China Printing Technology Association Wu Wenxiang, Vice Chairman Gao Yongqing and Consultant Shen Zhongkang attended the demonstration. The meeting was chaired by Gao Yongqing, head of the expert group. Experts at the meeting heard the technical report of the developer.

The program consists of: 1. Plate: "P-PS version" as a new type of CTP plate, is based on the standard PS plate again coated with a transparent layer of ink, this layer of ink-absorbing layer The feature is that it can faithfully return the dots of the ink sprayed by the EPSON inkjet printer. The ink dots do not spread and have good adhesion. Since the coating is transparent, it does not affect the printing. 2. Software: Beijing Rendaxin Company and Mengtai Company jointly developed a supporting PS output system. This RIP system can explain all standard PS files used by the industry. 3, the output device: Using EPSON9600/7600, hanging network output accuracy can reach 175LPI, to meet the output requirements of most printing plants, the current market, other models can not achieve this accuracy.

The work flow of this project is to use a typesetting system to print the desired file to a standard PS file, and use the PS output system to use the EPSON 9600/7600 to print the P-PS version and spray it onto the P-PS version. Black ink can play a role similar to the light blocking effect of the film, after printing, developing, fixing and processing can be printed on the plate.

Compared with the traditional printing platemaking process:

1. It eliminates the use of laser imagesetters for filming, imposition and other processes and related equipment, manpower and material resources;

2. It greatly shortens the time of plate making and the cost of platemaking is greatly reduced. At the same time, the printing, washing and printing are all used in the same way as the traditional PS plate. The manufacturer does not need to change the workflow and methods.

The economic benefits of the P-PS-CTP platemaking scheme are also relatively objective. The direct plate printing system includes a computer, a Mongolian digital plate-making system, and an EPSON large-format printer. The total investment is less than RMB 10 million, which is far lower than that of laser photocopying. The price of the plate is slightly higher than that of the ordinary PS plate, but much lower than that of any other CTP plate. Therefore, the P-PS-CTP plate making technology is a new and economical plate making scheme. The printing process is the same as that of the PS plate and is more mature than the existing CTP plate. Due to the reduction of the plate-making process, film and imposition are eliminated, which is both hygienic and environmentally friendly, and saves a considerable amount of money for the printing factory. The program has already been used by 12 users in the country. The usage is good and the stability is strong.
