Offset roller should pay attention to six issues in use

1. The printing roller mainly transfers ink on the offset printing machine. Therefore, the daily cleaning of the rubber roller must be carefully cleaned, otherwise it will oxidize the surface layer of the roller and the pigment and resin to form a smooth and hard film, which will cause the surface to vitrify and affect the transmission of ink. If the cleaning is not always clean, the surface of the rubber roller will not be easy to use. Therefore, the roller should be cleaned and put back for use when shutting down.

2. In the offset printing operation, the ink is emulsified due to "great ink and large ink", and a hydrophilic base is formed on the smooth rubber roller to deink it. The solution is to remove the emulsion ink, wash the deinking roller with gasoline, mix it with 5% sodium hydroxide solution and pumice powder, and also perform the corresponding treatment on the metal roller (or hard roller). The hard roller can also be polished with fine water sand under the condition of water showering. Please be careful not to fix and stay in the same place, otherwise it will damage the rubber roller. The fundamental solution is to control the pH of the fountain solution and do a good job of ink and water balance.

3. The rubber roller is used for too long aging, and the erosion of chemicals causes the rotten rubber to lose the “residue”. Such a rubber roller is best not to be used again, otherwise it will seriously affect the quality of the printed product.

4. In order to ensure that it does not affect the quality of production and printing, there must be a backup ink roller, but do not store too much to avoid aging. The storage environment of the rubber roller is the same as the blanket. In addition, the rubber roller should be straightened at the journal, and the surface should not touch each other or contact with other objects, so as to avoid deformation of the rubber roller.

5. Cots should not be stored near large motors and generators. Because the large amount of ozone generated by these devices will cause the surface of the roller to crack and crack.

6. When the weather is cold, the ink is not evenly distributed, and auxiliary materials may be properly added to the ink. It is forbidden to use an infrared heater or the like to bake the ink roller to prevent the roller from oxidizing.
