Stem cell research plays a very important role in cell biology, developmental biology, regenerative medicine, animal and plant variety improvement, bioreactor research and development, and evaluation of new drugs. On January 19, 2010, the Ministry of Science and Technology clearly pointed out the important support directions of the national key basic research development plan and the national major scientific research plan in 2010. Professor Deng Hongkui of Peking University and Professor Yang Tian Huang of the Institute of Health Sciences gave a wonderful explanation on the differentiation technology and application of ES / iPS cells to islet cells and cardiomyocytes. Dr. Lei Xiao, Director of the Stem Cell Bank of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhou Qi and Professor Jin Ying of the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences also introduced iPS technology and applications.
