Degradable plastic film was successfully developed

The degradation period of traditional plastic bags using polyethylene as raw materials is at least 100 years. Recently, the degradable plastic films jointly developed by the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiangsu Nantong Huasheng New Material Co., Ltd. have a degradation period of only 3~. For 6 months, the degraded material has fertilizer effect.

As the leading plastic film manufacturer in East China, Huasheng has been looking for more environmentally friendly products. In November 2007, the company learned that the CO2 degradable plastics project independently researched and developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences was successful, and it immediately contacted the cooperation. After several contacts, the Chinese Academy of Sciences agreed that the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Huasheng Company will jointly develop degradable plastic films. After many experiments, the current product performance is close to the traditional polyethylene material.

At present, our product cost is far lower than other international degradable plastics costs. "Zhang Huahua, chairman of Huasheng, said that the company is stepping up efforts to formulate production standards. By the end of this year, new products will be put on the market. Next year, the company's production of degradable plastic film will reach 10,000 tons, equivalent to the output of 1 billion traditional plastic bags.
