As mentioned above, the box type and structure of the special-shaped corrugated box are different from the ordinary box type. The following analysis is still carried out using the lock-bottom belt-type corrugated corrugated box shown in Fig. 1 to understand the basic characteristics of the box type. .

Box type features

â–  Unlike the common box type, the bottom of the box adopts a lock-bottom structure. After folding, points P1, P2, and P3 coincide, and points O1, O2, and O3 coincide. That is, line segment BP2 rotates around point B and coincides with BP1. Point line DO2 rotates around point D and coincides with DO3. This angle is actually 90 degrees. Above is the rotation angle. Therefore, as long as the design is known as P, the point can be used to determine the point of rotation P1, the same can be determined O2, O3 points.

â–  Considering the styling and easy molding assembly, this carton has many designs with chamfers or rounded corners, as shown in Figure 2.

â–  In order to facilitate carrying, construction of boxes or other uses, usually handle holes or vent holes are designed. However, due to the presence of holes, the strength of the carton will be reduced. Therefore, when designing the holes, Figure 2 shows the shape of a corrugated corrugated box. The figure (unsized) can generally reduce the effect of the opening on the strength by opening the hole near the centerline of the box, the center point, and dispersing the opening.

â–  The size of the special-shaped carton can be calculated from the inside to the outside according to the maximum external dimensions of the contents. The inside dimensions, the manufacturing dimensions and the outside dimensions of the special-shaped carton are the important basis for inserting inserts and inserts. As shown in Figure 2, due to the large thickness of the corrugated board, the cardboard board thickness should be taken into consideration when the center line of the box bottom is centered. The width is (L-t)/2, where t is the calculated thickness (mm) of the board.

â–  After the design is completed, two sets of design drawings shall be copied, one for the printing plate and the other for the die-cutting plate making, which can ensure the dimensional consistency and accurately register when cutting.

The principle of die-cutting process is to insert the inserts and inserts according to the design dimensions of the carton structure on the die plate of the die-cutting machine.
