FDA approved polyester cover film

To-ray Plastics USA introduces LumilidXL5, a new type of heat-sealable, transparent polyester cover film. The product has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to be in direct contact with food. The application targets are common plastic trays and cups. Top cover. Films reliably seal a wide variety of plastics including APET (Amorphous Polyester), APET Coated Sheets, CPET (Crystalline Polyester), PP (Polypropylene), HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) and HIPS (High Impact) Polyethylene), so the same cover film can be easily used with different plastic products. LumilidXL5 is a multi-layer polyester film with a polyethylene layer, which has good oxygen barrier and moisture resistance, and has no solvent during the preparation. Therefore, the cover film can maintain the purity and freshness of the food flavor and form a whole food product. An airtight seal also serves as a seal for bottles and containers, leaving no residue after peeling. In addition, this cover film is also excellent in tear resistance.
