As we all know, ink-jet printing is far less than the printed version of the printing, printing dark colors must use high-purity pigments, pigments or dyes used must have good dispersibility or solubility. The components of ink jet printing inks are: (1) colored materials that meet the requirements of color fastness; (2) solvents or dispersants; (3) thickeners; (4) adhesives for fixing and dyeing; 5) Prevent moisture absorption additives.

Colored substances commonly used pigments (inorganic or organic) and dyes. Inorganic pigments are dominated by carbon black, and there are many types of organic pigments. The pigments used in inkjet printing inks must meet the following requirements: (1) The particle size is 10-300 nm; (2) The particle size is not greater than 0.51xm, When the mass fraction of solids is 15%, the particles must reach lOZ~(milliliter) per ml; (3) On 3lam nylon filter paper, 100% of the ink must have 10% solid pigment to filter through; (4) The purity of the pigment is >80%. (referring to extractables); (5) at 25, for a week, the above changes in performance are less than 50%, the stability is better; (6) can withstand high shear stress. To obtain stable and finely dispersed fine particles, a dispersant was used, but once the dispersant was lost, the pigment particles immediately accumulated to form large particles. 》There is a large amount of dispersant in the mouthprint ink, which can not meet the requirements of the pigment mass fraction, but also reduce the color strength, stretchability and elasticity of the pigment. So generally do not use dispersants in ink. After research, the use of pigment particle surface modification, so that it can be dispersed and its surface with a large dynamic potential layer of pigment particles. In the liquid will not aggregate and maintain a stable dispersion. Asked how the pigment particle surface modification method: (1) surface modification with diazo agent, the diazo agent is a nitrogen-containing compound having an aromatic group, and a quaternary ammonium group having an ionizable group such as an anionic carboxyl group, a sulfonic acid group, or a cationic group. (2) With the IPN method, the polymers involved in the interpenetrating network are polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polyamide, polyester, etc. The IPN surface modification method works well. Recent patents reported that the simultaneous interpenetrating network polymer (SIN) or interpenetrating elastomeric polymer (1EN) prepared into a chemically bonded polymer, the effect is more obvious.

The surface-modified IPN pigment particles have small particle size, high color strength, and good stability. The use of paint for printing can significantly reduce the amount of pigment in the color paste, and has good rubbing fastness without affecting the color fastness.
