Last year, the Eli Group Liquid Milk Division contacted Sidel to discuss the design of PET bottles for the new 100% lactic acid bacteria beverages.

The Sidel China packaging team worked with the French headquarters to develop a preliminary design plan in just two weeks. Erie’s marketing department analyzed a variety of design options and confirmed the final four designs. In the subsequent cooperation, the Sidel design team fine-tuned according to the trial of consumers. For example, the shape of the bottom of the bottle was adjusted to distinguish it from the traditional petal bottom of the market. In addition, by improving the hardness of the bottom of the bottle, while ensuring a unique design, it can meet the performance requirements.

In just three months, Sidel completed the bottle design and produced a new mold for two production lines of Erie dedicated to the production of new lactic acid bacteria.

The newly designed product was formally put into production and the first batch of bottled lactic acid bacteria went offline.
