Geneva, December 1, 2016 - Rolex announced today the official start of the Rolex 2014 Young Men's Award. This award aims to fund Young Leaders to achieve their innovative vision and reach the global community.
The Rolex Youth Enthusiast Award welcomes applicants from the age of 18 to 30 (including those aged 30) from all over the world, irrespective of nationality, as long as their project proposals break through innovation, expand the world's awareness and improve the quality of life on Earth. The awards cover three broad areas: environmental protection, applied technology and discovery.
Five young male talent winners will each receive 100,000 Swiss francs bonus, which is double the previous amount. In addition, they receive a Rolex watch and can promote their projects and proposals with a global campaign.

Other winning programs also include research and development of medical technology, the revival of ancient traditions and preservation of rare and endangered species.
The winners are selected by an independent jury. Each jury jury must be re-formed by the experts volunteered as jury members, they all reflect the characteristics of leaders Rolex emphasis on. The judges will meet in early 2018 to select the winners, which will be announced later in the same year.
